We are Currently operating from 287 Hoon Hay Road but are moving sometime early October to 6 Islington Ave ChCh, we are open Monday to Friday: 8.30am-5.15pm & Saturday 9.00am-12.00pm- we are happy to stay open later by arrangement.
We will be closed on Sunday, and Saturdays that fall on long weekends and closed Public Holidays.
At Palmside we sell quality race/rally clothing apparel, motorsport accessories include seats, belts, brackets etc, Revolution competition/classic car wheels, Magnum Escort and Mini Panels, Quaife drive line components, Varley batteries and more online or from our current showroom in Hoon Hay, Christchurch. We specialise in English Ford competition and road car parts for Escort, Capri, Cortina, Anglia & Classic Mini. We also carry a range of competition parts for other makes and models.

We sell top quality specialist parts and all our products are selected, sourced and imported for you from the best suppliers in the motorsport world. We can deliver parts to you, world-wide or fit them here, in our specialist motorsport workshop.
Palmside is owned and operated by Deane Buist, a highly-skilled and successful rally driver. His experience includes competing in a variety of vehicles over the years. Deane leads the Palmside team who have a vast range of knowledge on all aspects of running and building cars, It is this knowledge and years of real experience that makes Palmside the best choice for all your motorsport parts and accessories.
Deane Buist has been rallying since 1987. He has competed in over 200 rallies from club level to the New Zealand Rally Championships and competed in the International Rally New Zealand from 1995 to 1998. His vast rallying experience also includes the Race to the Sky hill climb in Queenstown NZ, Otago Classic Rally as well as the Alpine Rally of East Gippsland in Australia in 2017.
He has achieved great success, winning a host of competitions including some National Championship classes, New Zealand Club 2WD in 2001 and 2002 and New Zealand Kiwi Two Class in 2003 to name but a few, competed in 2010 and 2012 Silver Fern, 2014 Silver frond, SI Targa, 2017 Alpine Rally in Australia plus most local rallies in the Mainland rally series.
Palmside NZ LTD has a workshop run by Brent Buist that builds and services 2WD rally cars that compete in NZ and Mainland Championships, including the mighty RX8 of Marcus van Klink.
