Fitting Instructions for Mk1 & Mk2 Escort Fuel Filler Neck Fitting Guide

Ensure the neck is the correct length (trim if necessary), There is a spacer that needs to be fitted to the tank fixing point closest to the rear light (see drawing on reverse) Fit the filler neck but do not tighten clamps yet, Tighten up all of the tank fixings first and make sure the filler neck is able to “float” i.e. the neck is not compressed by the tank and can move on both the tank spout and the filler pipe (item 4 on the drawing), Lastly tighten up the clamps on the filler neck.
